We just visited the Ganalili Centre, in the renovated old Victoria Hotel Building. The art work and displays were fantastic, and Samantha's knowledge was amazing, and we weren't a lot about Aboriginal culture. We would highly recommend a stop here!

The Courthouse Gallery is situated in the heart of Port Hedland's most creative and vibrant area - the West End Cultural Precinct. Visit the Gallery to view an exciting exhibition, take part in an inspiring and creative workshop or peruse our retail space for the ultimate Pilbara retail experience! Both national and local artists' have enjoyed successful exhibitions at the Courthouse Gallery with opening night's alone attracting around 500 people. To compliment the exhibition program the Gallery also runs professional and creative development workshops which are opened to people of all skill levels and include photography, visual arts and craft. Workshops are facilitated by professional creatives from across Australia in a fun and enjoyable setting. The West End Markets is the Gallery's newest program which runs four times a year - April, June, August, October - in Glass Lane park (to the rear of the Gallery).

So interesting. I would highly recommend going there. The man running the museum gave a talk on the history of the place and all about the rocks etc. After we went out the back veranda and sat while he told us all about the gold mine. All for $3.00.

A novel idea to combine the museum and op shop in a wonderful heritage building. Nice and cool inside while you look around. We went twice and were helped by Margaret and Milly who had plenty of local knowledge.
