Stefka led a wonderful tour through a small town while on her bicycle. Windmills, canals, dykes - all of the special features in a small town setting. Stefka clearly loves the town and is prepared to answer questions with knowledge and gentle good humour. This is our second tour with Stefka and it was a treat!

We had dinner at Martine's along with 7 other visitors (all happened to be from US). The dinner and wine pairings were very good. Martine and her husband, Olav, were very gracious hosts and made everyone comfortable right away. We also recommend taking a walking tour with Olav -- he has lived in Amsterdam his whole life and knows a lot of the history.

Be Dutch for a day! A day full of windmills, cheese and traditional wooden clogs. Covered with water, cows grazing the fresh grasses, colourful flowers and green-timbered houses, Zaanse Schans is home to what some call the Eighth Wonder of the World: the historic 18th-century windmills. Everybody knows about cheese, but few know how it’s produced. Your private chauffeur guide will take you to the place where the magic happens, where the Dutch dairy gold is crafted. You will visit a local cheese factory in the picturesque fisherman village of Volendam, where you will be taught about the cheese-making craft and enjoy a delicious cheese tasting. With windmills and cheese on board, it’s unthinkable to skip the traditional wooden clogs in this tour. Your driver guide will take you to the particular city of Marken, where you will witness how a shoemaker crafts the typical wooden clogs.

What to say about this guided tour? We were the only two on it and visiting Amsterdam for our honeymoon (my husband and I) and I wanted to surprise him with a beer tour. I assumed it would be cool, but it was beyond my expectations. Our guide, Margee was an absolute joy to be with. Rather than that weird, awkward guided tour mess you normally get, she was knowledgeable, personable and an all around badass. We laughed, we cried, we talked personal life and ideology. And cherry on top, saw some really cool pubs and tasted some outstanding Dutch beers. If we had a question, she answered it. She even offered further assistance in the city after our tour was over. When we return to this amazing city we will seek Margee out. It doesn’t get any better than this.

If you love food and not scared to try new flavours - this semi-private food walk is for you! We are inviting you to join us on a stroll through Amsterdam’s most vibrant neighbourhood, the Pijp, and an opportunity to explore wonderful new flavours. We will visit several local yummy hotspots where you will taste what Amsterdam has on its menu. The maximum group size is only 8 people, so you will have a very personal tour. We meet on Westeinde Amsterdam, on the bridge next to no 26. After a short introduction, we start the walk towards van Woustraat where we begin with a good coffee. Then down the most famous street market of the Netherlands where we tell you about the area and the significance of it. Along with the market, we will taste a few of the best Dutch snacks around. We will show and tell you about the history and visit the beautiful Sarphatipark and we will have more tastings. We try to balance sweet and savoury as well as easy and difficult flavours mixed in with skilled professionals that show you how its made. Think about Cheese, Herring, Sweet Poffertjes and a lot more. The Dutch culture might not be about food but the tastes and quality of those street foods are excellent. We have done a few hundred tours in the neighbourhood so we have our own personal favourite vendors selected on craftmanship, personality and flavour. We end the food tour on the van Woustraat where we will point out how to get to where your plans take you. Be sure to join us with an empty stomach!
