This is the epicenter of shopping, walking and people watching in Houston. From great shopping, high end art galleries to ice skating, the Galleria is a great place to see and visit. Due to its popularity, the parking lots fill up quickly, especially in the holiday season. Get there as early as you can and preferably right before it opens to get a good parking spot. The Metro bus# 82 goes east and west by the Galleria and connects to many other bus lines around Houston. This is a must see and visit place in Houston and I highly recommend it,

Walked through the mall and enjoyed the many store fronts. The escalator took us up to the second level but the down escalator was not functioning. The mall is linked to the sky bridge to the Westin hotel and a Hospital. They had a very nice children's playground and an ice skating rink.

Great place to eat some good food on the outdoor patios at almost every restaurant or shop around at some chain favs - would recommend parking in the parking garage behind bakers street pub.

Baybrook mall has expanded greatly. New restaurants, store and outdoors seating and shopping in addition to the indoors stores. It included brands like Michael kors, apple, Microsoft, LEGO and Victoria secret. The outdoor playground and grill cinema makes it a good destination for family with kids.

Rice Village encompasses several blocks of shops and restaurants just minutes away from Rice University and the Texas Medical Center area of Houston. Shops include national chains like Banana Republic, Talbots, Loft, Pier One, etc. as well as unique local and regional shops. Restaurants run the gamut from burger joints to ethnic eateries to the revered Black Walnut Cafe. Don’t miss the British Isles store (lots of fine china and collectibles, plus a wide assortment of teas and accompaniments for the Anglophile) and Drumgooles Fine Writing Instruments & Stationery (the name speaks for itself), both on Rice Boulevard!!

The new donut shop, Dapper Donuts, located in Katy Mills by the movie theater is amazing. So many flavors to choose from and are made fresh to order. Very well worth the price, yum! Best part of the mall
