Whenever I need plants for my garden I visit Hoo House Nursery first. This is a nursery tucked away off the main Tewkesbury Road and it sells herbaceous perennials. A great selection of plants - some "standards" that you can probably find anywhere but what sets them apart is their range of more unusual plants. Arranged by sun and shade loving plants plus their alpine section, its always worth a trip. The owners are friendly and knowledgable - if a plant has any particularly tricky habits they will let you know! The plants are also suited to our soil here so you won't find any acid loving types. They also plant completely peat free which is excellent and still all too rare. Best to bear in mind that this is a nursery not a garden centre - no compost or cafe - just lots of lovely plants.

The Malt House Emporium has relocated to Ashchurch, Tewkesbury. With plenty of free parking and a tea room on site you have all at your convenience to spend a relaxing and enjoyable few hours in our Emporium of Interiors & Antiques. You'll find a superb mix of Antiques mixed with Contemporary Interiors, a Food Hall with unique products and even the niche Collectibles & Records. Open 7 days.
Spent 3 hours browsing there today. Driven past several times a week for the last year but didn’t recognise the name Malthouse and didn’t realise it was an excellent antiques emporium. So much to see and much of it reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. The cafe is excellent for a drink and a quick bite.
