A must see! The owner made a bowl right in front of us and it took less than 5 minutes. Gave us a tour and a bit of history of how pottery is made and why so many different colors of clay depending on which part of the island the clay was from. I even bought the pot to cook their famous Alcatra dish in!

We stayed in the house right next door on our 8 day trip to Terceira, which included free breakfast at Queijo Vaquinha each day. It was simple, yet the most delicious breakfast we’ve ever had! We were served a variety of their homemade cheeses, sliced meats, fig jam, english muffins, their homemade yogurts, coffee & juices. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We also received a cheese tour that was included in our stay which was very interesting and informative. We got to meet the cows, try fresh milk, feed a calf, see where and how their cheeses are made and sample the cheeses. We look forward to a return trip where we will absolutely visit Queijo Vaquinha again!
