A youthful, modern metropolis with a diverse population, Tel Aviv dates back only to 1909. Clubs, bars, a thriving arts community, gay life and beaches attract artists, musicians and young professionals to Tel Aviv's more secular scene. Its UNESCO-designated Bauhaus architecture has won the city the moniker "The White City." Walk, drive or catch cabs between the cultural exhibition pavilions of Haaretz Museum, historic Independence Hall Museum, bustling Carmel Market and Old Jaffa's boardwalk.

This beautiful marina is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon (or a whole day, if you're so inclined). Walk along the marina, enjoy the spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea, watch a sunset, go for a swim in the warm water of a bordering beach, or simply people-watch while you enjoy a fresh drink at one of the many bars along the marina. This is also a popular place for people to go for a run or bike-ride. Everything is very clean, which is nice - not all marinas are well-maintained. Keep in mind that with the temperatures soaring in warmer months, it gets incredibly busy and there are crowds of people here, so plan your visit accordingly. We like coming here later in the afternoon, once the crowds have started to disperse a little bit. Also, some of the restaurants are pricey, although that seems to be the norm for most marinas as restaurants capitalize on prime real estate.

Much more impressed with this stretch of beach than I thought I would be! Sand is great, there is a walkway that runs the beach you can walk or jog on as well! You can capture nice sunsets here as well!

This is the paved beachside walkway which provides a 2km path between Tel Aviv and Jaffa.
the Tayelet , on the promenade has been revamped, with thye removal of the now defunct dolfinarium, which is near the Intercontinental hotel. New exercise equipment has been installed together with new sun shades , all over the beach areas. A great place to walk , or ride a bike ( plenty of bikes to hire) only be aware of the large number of battery scooters in use ( which are quite fast!) Beautiful beach and swimming facilities, which are well supervised by the lifeguards.

This gorgeous beach, which overlooks the Mediterranean, is clean and family-friendly, with plenty of space to soak up the sun, go for a walk along the boardwalk, sit at one of the numerous cafés, or people-watch. The water's usually warm if you want to go for a swim. It does get crowded on the weekends, especially on Saturday evenings, so be prepared to jostle for a space.

As a port of entry, the Jaffa port has seen better days - many of them. This is rumoured to be the oldest functioning port in the world.
The old Jaffa port is a great place to wander around on a warm, sunny day. many of the streets have been nicely restored. There are lots of crowds and an energetic atmosphere.

This beach is huuuuuuge!! Its alive, it s varied. Lockers and restaurants on the far end. Lots shaded areas and gazebos, lots of areas with showers to wash off the sand, lots of bike stands to rent bikes and just ride around. The was surprisingly very soft against the feet and the water was crystal clear. One great feature was just how far you could walk out into the Mediterranean. It was an awesome experience. Went in November and still got a sunburn.
