A youthful, modern metropolis with a diverse population, Tel Aviv dates back only to 1909. Clubs, bars, a thriving arts community, gay life and beaches attract artists, musicians and young professionals to Tel Aviv's more secular scene. Its UNESCO-designated Bauhaus architecture has won the city the moniker "The White City." Walk, drive or catch cabs between the cultural exhibition pavilions of Haaretz Museum, historic Independence Hall Museum, bustling Carmel Market and Old Jaffa's boardwalk.

I will set the menu upon your requests and preferences. We serve Israeli wine with the meal. You will get to know my family (at least part of them will join us for lunch:-) You will get an apron & a recipe booklet to take back with you as a souvenir. Israel has such a good food to offer to you. You will experience the best food attraction in Israel!! People mostly like the cooking tips & techniques and the homey relaxed atmosphere. 'Cook in Israel ' is my cookbook of Israeli home recipes.
Our group was a little bigger than what Orly usually takes, but she happily allowed our group of 8 to join her in her cooking class. We were four adults, two tweens and two teens, and the class was an absolute highlight of our time in Israel. We met in the Carmel Market, where we both shopped for food and tasted different foods. From learning (and tasting) the different local breads to the coffee to the most delicious hummus (still dreaming about that hummus!), we worked our way through the market. We also learned about different chick peas, fava beans, and spices. From there we traveled to Orly's house where the cooking began in earnest. Everyone took part. We all made tahnini cookies, shaped pita bread, and worked on salads. My daughter loved making homemade cous cous (I had no idea that one *could* make homemade cous cous) while my son enjoyed frying up falafel balls. At the end, we all sat down to a delicious meal together. The best thing about Orly's class is that she communicates with you ahead of time to find out what you want to make, what you like and don't like. She was able to accommodate all of us. Orly's class is truly fantastic and I would not only recommend it, I'd take it again to learn how to make new Israeli treats!

What a treat! Aliya first brought us on a tour through the shuk, where we tried various regional delicacies and shopped for fresh ingredients that we would use to make our lunch later. This was a really unique experience because not only did it show us how Israelis shop for their groceries, but it also gave us a comprehensive understanding of modern Isaraeli culture and politics, specifically how historical trends have manifested themselves in something as (seemingly) simple as a market. After the tour, Aliya brought us to her beautiful home to have our cooking lesson. Aliya was very patient with us and took our requests in stride to cater the whole experience to our desires. All throughout, we had great conversation that made time truly fly. By the end of the afternoon together, we left with full bellies (we especially loved the falafel and pita) and newfound confidence in our Israeli cooking skills. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience, she is without a doubt the best food tour there is in Tel Aviv. 11/10 recommend!!

This cooking class experience all together will present you to a cultural adventure which reflects the Israeli mentality to its fullest. The Carmel Market tour will leave you with a feeling you were a part of the market and not an outsider taking a look. At the workshop there is a rare atmosphere, it can't be described only felt. There you’ll cook authentic Israeli food from scratch.

Our house at 78 Ben-Zvi boulevard is an entertaining center on the border of Tell Aviv and Jaffa. This is a unique manor house from the ottoman period. The house preserved in Italian marble columns and a magnificent painted floor. Our house has a design and culinary statement, a special atmosphere and a whole lot of soul.
