Chamberlain Lookout and Kianinny Boat Ramp. You must see if you come to Tathra. From the Chamberlain Lookout, you can see the great scenery and the Boat Ramp, the seawater is crystal clear likes jade. There is a playground for kids, BBQ, and walk path for hiking.

Tathra Beach is another fantastic south coast beach that is well worth seeking out. Grab some fish and chips from across the road and enjoy a great lunch in a great location.

Tathra Memorial Gardens Walk

Finally you're now able to walk along the ocean front walk. It is amazing. The views are great and it gives you access that was lost when the old road was washed away. It's only taken 45 years, but finally you can again walk to the wharf from the pub alongside the ocean....

Wallagoot Gap

A wonderful secluded beach that we visited on New Years Day. It's a short 15 minute drive from Tathra - and you will need to bring $8 (in cash) to pay for visiting the Bournda National Park (where it's located). The beach is a 50 metre beach, bordered by 30 metre cliffs, leaving just a 10 metre gap between them. This creates an intimate and well protected beach which is easily accessible via a 200m walk from parking area. There are NO amenities at the beach (or patrols) so bring all you need with you (and take rubbish out too :)) We visited at low tide, which meant we could easily explore the entire gully in waste deep water, and enjoy small secluded side beaches. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Bournda National Park

This place is a hidden gem, we were told about the lagoon by a local cashier at a shop in Bega. Although a little chilly on the day we visited, the water in the lagoon was a bit warmer than the ocean and we spent a lovely few hours paddling around in the calm water. Perfect for kids and a great spot for kayaking or canoeing. We walked along the beach which is absolutely beautiful. We would love to come back on a day when we have more time so we can enjoy the experience for longer.
