The Farm Shed East Coast Wine Centre is THE place to experience Tasmania's East Coast wines, and combines wine bar, tastings and sales with original art and design. Come in for guided tastings of wines from all East Coast region vineyards and Tasmanian whiskies and gins, as well as the ever-changing art and artisanal craft gallery.
The Farm Shed, Bicheno. Just north of Wineglass Bay (Freycinet Peninsula), the small seaside town of Bicheno is mostly known for attractions such as: the blowhole, penguins and gorgeous orange lichen- covered rocks. Popping into the post-office was when I stumbled across the town’s hidden gem: ‘The Farm Shed’. AKA the ‘East Coast Wine Centre’, The Farm Shed is an ambient wooden building that offers delicious wine, gin, beer, cider and whiskey tastings (all sourced from local/regional vineyards). In addition, this unique hub showcases a range of tastefully hand-picked Tassie art and design products. I sat down to a platter of warm olives, mixed nuts and local snacks (all complimentary). During my ‘tasting’ session that afternoon, I got to meet the fun, passionate gals behind the business. Subi and Helen really know: their products, the history of the area and also (I was chuffed to find) , have direct contact with the families and East-Coast businesses who produce the wares available. As I left with a smile on my face (and a selection of vino for my adventures), I noted the tables on either side of me were placing large orders – to be delivered to their respective and far flung homes. All in all, a brilliant set-up, delightful owners and a local business definitely worth supporting. One of my highlights of Tassie. Cheers!

Tasmanian Wine and Food is located in Stanley, a small picturesque village on the North West coast of Tasmania. Embracing Stanley’s historic past, Tasmanian Wine and Food have renovated a Victorian cottage in the middle of Stanley. A heavily emphasis on upcycling, recycling and repurposing, has made for an eclectic mix of materials and furnishings that make for a warm and welcoming environment. The philosophy of “Tasmanian Wine and Food” is to provide the very best produce that Tasmania has to offer. While we will have staples on the menu, such as cheese boards and tasting plates, the blackboard specials will feature the best of what Tasmania has to offer. The seasonal nature of produce means we will run black board specials constantly changing to stay in tune with the very best of produce available. Tasmania’s enjoys a global reputation as a leading producer of premium cool climate wines. We match these wines with this seasonal bounty to deliver a true taste of Tasmania.
This little wine bar is just gorgeous. When you walk in you feel you are in a quaint little Irish pub, so cosy and with intimate little corners where you can sit back and relax. A great place to meet with friends prior to going out for a meal, or if you just want a lighter meal, they have lovely platters and pizzas, as well as a great selection of Tassie wines, gins, whiskeys, craft beers etc. It really is a lovely place to go. Mike and Shelley are great hosts too.

Cinco is a libation lounge bar showcasing Tasmanian whisky, sparkling wine, cocktails, coffee, cigars and men's gifts. Tasting plates available of local cheese and charcuterie.
This is our goto place for a pre dinner drink in Launceston, where we can enjoy some special cocktails and drinks using only top quality specialist liqueurs, spirits, wines and beers that have been sourced through an intimate knowledge and passion that the owner brings to the bar. Having visited on many occasions, we have always been treated with absolute respect and felt a warm welcome on each occasion. The quiet and gently lit atmosphere also allows you to have an undisturbed chat with your partner and/or friends. As this is a very popular venue we find that it is always best to call and book a spot, especially on the weekends, otherwise you may be disappointed to find that Cinco's is booked out. Do not take any negative reviews of this fantastic venue with any credibility, as we can assure you that your experience will be absolutely memorable. A definite hidden gem in the Launceston bar scene.

The Story Bar is inspired by the egalitarian nature of Tasmanian society, where class divisions are less obvious. With this in mind, our bar team offer everything from draught beer to the finest wine and spirits in an enigmatic watering hole, adorned with newspaper headlines from decades past. To truly understand Tasmania, one must know its people and how they interact - The Story Bar makes for an iconic backdrop for both locals and visitors alike.
Jordan turned good service into an experience that would make anyone that is involved in the tourism industry within Tasmania proud. Cannot fault him. He brought the right level of professionalism along with a great sense of humor, which makes him the perfect person for a bar with this setting and atmosphere. Thanks Jordan and crew
