My husband and I went on this tour on the 1st May 2021. It was absolutely amazing! I would do this again in a heartbeat! Our tour guides were fantastic. The buggy’s were so much fun, I have never laughed so much in my life! You will not be disappointed. My husband and I did the half-day exploration, highly highly recommend! I was nervous to begin with but was quickly calm and collected after having in-depth training on how to safely stop the vehicle and how to manoeuvre ruts etc. I could go on for days about how spectacular this was, but it’s something you need to experience to believe!

You will be sailing in a Sydney to Hobart race maxi - really sailing - and on one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. The three hours takes in most of Hobart's large sheltered harbour. See Hobart at its best, with stunning views of the city, Mt. Wellington and the surrounding forests and hills that make up this most picturesque of cities. You might even see penguins, dolphins or seals (regular visitors), and sometimes even whales and orca. Grind the winches, take a turn on the helm or relax and enjoy the experience. Delicious local treats will be served for morning or afternoon tea (included in the price,) and local wines and beer are available at regular bar prices. The skipper and crew are all experienced professionals with plenty of stories of the high seas and a wealth of local knowledge to share.

Inclusions: 3-hour sail on Hobart Harbour by luxury ocean racing yacht, Gourmet treats for morning or afternoon tea, Professional skipper and crew

Exclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off

My family of four (kids 12 and 3) had an amazing experience on the overnight charter. We sailed to Adventure Bay where we had the chance to fish, go to the beach, and hike to the peak of Fluted Cape with spectacular views of the cliffs. On our return we kayaked through the cliff caves at Hound's Tooth while the kids explored the coast in the dinghy. Mark is an excellent sailor and is willing to share his knowledge and give you a turn at the helm. Jimmy is a fantastic cook (our dinner was the best we've had on our vacation) and an even better photographer (be sure to look through the calendar photos). Both gentlemen were great with the kids. I highly recommend this if you are looking for an adventure with the family that you will never forget.

This excursion was awesome. Our guide, Keygan, did a great job describing the sites and sharing the history. Great story teller of Hobart’s past! We drove through Hobart (we also had a brief tour of the streets and old homes on the way back to ship) on the way to Borongo Sanctuary. Our guide stayed with us at the sanctuary and pointed out the animals and talked about them. The sanctuary exceeded our expectations. We had plenty of time to wander about with the animals - especially the Roos. We went to Richmond where we had lunch (on our own). Quaint town. Then on to Mt Wellington - great views. Then to Cascade Brewery for a sampling. We had wonderful personal service and plenty of time at each stop. Highly recommend iWander Tasmania for your visit to Tasmania.

I have done a few tours during my stay in Hobart. Some of the tour guides were just meh and you knew it was just work for them. It was merely driving people around and off they go. But Alex was different. It felt like he was showing the place to his family! Wasn’t rushing things and sent text reminders before the tour. Very personalised! He took time to tell us bits and pieces throughout the trip. And walked with us even after all that driving! Immensely enjoyed this trip. And I think it was really cheap for what it was. Great value for money!

We had a fantastic day with Curly on the premium tour. She was a wealth of knowledge on wine (especially bubbles) and was a super friendly guide. We loved the wineries we visited and the lunch included at Josef Chromy. The countryside was beautiful with its autum hues. I would 100% recommend this if you are interested in sampling the best of the Tamar Valley wines.

3/5 would probably suggest a pretty average experience but I would have actually given it a lot higher if they had gone through with the Mt Wellington section of the tour that we paid for. Through no fault of their own the roads were closed and had been for days before our tour but we were only informed of it while we were on the bus. We do feel Tours Tasmania misrepresented this and could have called/emailed ahead and given us the option to pull out or reduced fee. Mt Nelson was a poor substitute at best. That being said, our guide David was exceptional and really saved the tour for us. He was friendly, knowledgeable and loved to talk about everything in his city. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and learning from him. Overall, we feel the company did a bit of a bait and switch on us but David did manage to salvage the day to an extent. I'd recommend checking all locations are available before registering a tour with these guys.
