Surrounded by some wonderful bars, restaurants and the legendary fish & chip floating serveries and fabulous history, it is a must visit to soak in the ambience of the waterfront and dock area. Walking out onto the Coles Bay jetty made us wish we had bought our fishing gear with us this trip. Incredibly clear blue water allows you to watch the fish and squid swim past. Grab a pie and coffee from the bakery and wander out for a very restful lunch.

Horsetail Falls is located between Queenstown and Gormanston. The walk up to the viewing platform is nice. However, the secret is to keep going off the walkway on the hidden track to the top of the waterfall.

Such a nice easy walk when staying at Cradle Mountain Lodge. I saw a couple of wombats along the walk. It's pretty flat most of the way, just a lovely place to take a stroll after or before a meal when staying at the lodge.

Hobart; the capital of Tasmania, boasts a beautiful walk of around 2 or 3 kilometers (ish) of harbour, called Elizabeth Pier. Seaboats, trawlers, yachts, Catamarans, home to tallships, the Aurora Australis and the CSIRO ships, and of course, endless fresh seafood shops sprawled across walk. If the sight of that wasn't pretty enough, the amazing viee of Mount Wellington looms high in the background, coated with fresh snow in the winter, just tops off the walk. Come and see Hobart today!
