Ligereke Rock Paintings

Reviewed By martinae94

Igereke Rock is one of the best off the beaten path place to visit in Iringa and Tanzania. Local guide (Nguli Nzira +255 766 662 777), and one of the original elders taking care of the conversation zone gave us a great history lesson and lead the hike through the hill. Rates are posted clearly in the entrance. Going without guide can be risky and you lose so much of the explanation and the importance of the site. Do it now, before it becomes one of the main sites to visit in Tanzania. Highly recommended.

Fukuchani ruins are on the edge of the village of the same name, in Zanzibar. Beside a large school on the western side of the road, there's a small signpost under a baobab tree which will point you in the right direction, along a track that bisects the local football pitch. The ruin is known locally as the 'Portuguese House'

There are few ruins like Kaole in the Tanzania landscape. The visit to the place is a must when a visitor is in Bagamoyo. More learning and hearing very interesting history of slaves and the town. Well organized by the responsible authority who is in charge of the Kaole Ruins which is a clean and well-kept environment.
