Talofofo Beach

Reviewed By Bluewater999 - San Diego, United States

If you want to surf in a safe spot and there is an East, NE or SE swell this is a great place. I learned to surf here many years ago. Although it can get crowded if swell is really good. The beach is black volcanic sand, not mud. The sand gets quite warm on a hot day so find a palm tree to sit under, in between dips in the bay. There was a store just past the bridge up the hill a few yards, five minute walk where you could get Really good rice cake. If the swell is not too big, and you want some exercise and adventure, paddle out to the mouth of the bay. I did it once with a friend.
