I just returned from an overnight pop up tent trip to this park. Chose the non electric hookup. Firewood for $5. Bathrooms clean. Low noise at night although you could hear distant hwy noise. Overall happy with the park. As other reviews mention, this park is under appreciated. It has fishing, hiking, biking, arboretum, and playgrounds. And it is spread out so people don’t feel on top of you. Without COVID and/or in peak season, the lake also offers kayaking and canoeing. Several good fishing nooks. Best of all, it is near Easton and not hrs south, east or west. We spent the day in St. Michael’s and Tilghman‘s Island and the night/am at the park.

Historic and picturesque island in Chesapeake Bay.
AN EXTRAORDINARILY SAFE FIRST-CLASS STAY at the Gorgeous Tilghman Island Inn! For those of you looking for a respite from today's news, I recommend a visit to the Tilghman Island Inn. We have visited the Inn for over 30 years and the latest renovation has finally turned an unbelievably beautiful location into a first-class Inn. From my first phone contact with Sherri to our checkout with Murielle, we had delightful and informative help with every question. They are stringent with their COVID regime and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. The new, COVID-safe breakfast was such a treat I can only hope they will keep it after the pandemic is finally gone. We picked up our pre-packaged breakfast at the desk and took it outside to eat on the deck overlooking the Nature Preserve across the narrow inlet from the Inn. TWO EAGLES, a heron, a spectacular egret and numerous other water birds entertained us while we ate fresh baguette slices with charcuterie, fresh orange and grapefruit slices, delicious cheese, a fresh mini chocolate croissant and mini apple tart and the BEST bite of smoked poached salmon & cream cheese I have ever eaten! Our second floor room with balcony overlooking the waterway and Nature Preserve was comfortable, roomy and had a terrific gas fireplace which we tried just because it was there! The beautiful bathroom with jacuzzi tub had lovely complimentary essentials and a stunning glass door with their amazing logo. The complimentary bottles of water were also most welcome. The always safely-distanced and masked staff made our stay a total treat and total success. Go and enjoy!!
