We recently played nine holes of golf at Flempton - a challenging course with some picturesque views. After our first nine holes we enjoyed a drink sat outside, and then followed it with a further nine holes. It was an idyllic way to spend a Sunday with my husband. The club house, which is under new management, was very quaint, friendly and inviting. In the current climate, it was reassuring to see strict covid-19 protective measures (a one way system, perspex screens, social distancing, hand sanitiser etc). We have lived nearby for almost 30 years and it is lovely to finally be able to walk out locally for a pleasant evening and a tasty three course meal. We enjoyed it so much - we have booked again for next week!

The James Andrews Golf School offers hourly, daily and multi day golf coaching for Beginner, Intermediates and Advanced golfers. Voted the UK's leading residential golf school by Today's Golfer Magazine The James Andrews School of Golf (Formerly based in Battle) has over 20 year experience helping golfers enjoy their sport
This was my second visit to the James Andrews School of golf at Stoke by Nayland. The golf school use a structured approach to the main elements of the golf swing and then join them together. This allows you to focus and not get overloaded with information. The benefits of this approach are that, with a little adaptation, the same basic movements can also be easily applied to chipping and bunker play. On this visit, I stayed at the excellent Stoke by Nayland hotel (which is only a few hundreds yards way) and with two 18 hole golf courses, you also have the (free) opportunity to put into practice, what you have learned in the morning. Joe, who was the coach on my course, was quickly able to identify the particular faults in the swings of those who were attending, and he has a great classic swing to emulate! The school use Trackman technology, which is an excellent facility that provides instant feedback on ball speed, attack angle, club path etc. Trackman also records a video of each shot you hit, so you can then see an instant playback. All very clever!!! I would very much recommend a visit to the James Andrews School of Golf, if you’re looking to take up or improve your golf.

Fynn Valley Golf Club is set in the rolling countryside of rural Suffolk in Witnesham, and is a friendly, family run Club where members and visitors enjoy the extensive golfing facilities as well as the thriving social side of the game. In addition to the interesting parkland 18 hole course, the club offers a 9 hole course, 22 bay floodlit covered golf range, practise greens and bunker, golf lessons, two golf shops and extensive clubhouse facilities set in converted Edwardian farm buildings. Golf societies, conferences, weddings and functions are a speciality. Conveniently situated for the county town of Ipswich, Fynn Valley is also easily accessible from Woodbridge, Framlingham and Stowmarket.
I have played on the par 3 course multiple times and the footgolf there is brilliant a well looked after course and hopefully one day I will be brave enough and good enough to play on the full 18 holes as it looks a bit intimidating for me at the moment ????. Driving range is great and a friendly atmosphere which is good for someone just getting into golf

My two sons had 3 days of lessons with Matt, Matt really was excellent and the boys loved it! They even asked to go back after the lesson for a bucket of balls each. Massive well done to Matt who kept two boys interested and without doubt has helped them with their golf development - well done!
