Excellent it is such a great night out. If you have never seen the it is a must. Very entertaining ,funny and the cast are very friendly.The theatre is also very welcoming nothing is to much trouble for the staff there. Fantastic night all round

Great new wide premier screen. I have also been twice since reopening and the safety measures are good. unfortunately the cinema was virtually empty an a Sunday 1540 showing to watch the film Tenet. Please go and support this excellent asset for Bury which is really struggling to survive. Tickets are significantly cheaper than other larger cinema in Bury, and the new wide screen and sound system is superb as are the seats.

Built in 1819, this Grade 1 listed playhouse is the only surviving example of a Regency theatre in the UK. It is the only theatre open to the public in the National Trust's portfolio of properties. Fully restored to it's Georgian splendour, the intimate auditorium and exquisite decorative scheme will provide visitors with an unforgettable and unique theatrical experience. Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds presents a vibrant, year-round programme of drama, music, dance and stand up comedy. Went on a tour of the theatre which was excellent. From the explanation of how the theatre worked from its start in 1819 (including smells, hats and fans) to the comprehensive tour of the seating, stage and backstage including the scenery room, green room and the orchestra pit, it was packed full of information and stories. The tour lasted just over an hour and we went back to see the small exhibition about Sir Peter Hall. You can take photos everywhere. Very welcoming staff. Highly recommended to those interested in theatre - and free for National Trust members!

Fantastic dance studios a real hub for dance in the East, great programming and a superb little theatre for viewing contemporary dance. Very good and friendly cafe too

Nice venue and staff. Went to see an AC/DC tribute band there in Jan 2020. Staff are very nice and really good. "What time are you opening the doors?" - Response - "Not yet mate, get a beer and will be about right....queue is less upstairs" - that's what you like for an easy night out right? Simple as that.
