This train station has 6 platforms including a platform 0.The main entrance at the front has the booking office, this entrance is fully accessible to wheelchair users. At that entrance their is a cash machine and a small cafe. There is a taxi rank, and a blue plaque to ww2 evacuated children. There is also a entrance to the rear with car parking which private hire taxis pick people up from. In one of the connecting tunnels is old post box which you can post letters from. There are 2 cafes on the platforms and a Wh smiths, along with toilets and waiting rooms, also on one of the platforms is a plaque in honor of a vc winner. The trains go to various parts of England and Wales, to the East of England, West of England, London and Greater Manchester and beyond. Always friendly, pleasant and helpful staff. A great railway station.

Used this company on a one off emergency trip from Stepping Hill Hospital. The driver was on time very understanding polite and friendly. As it was midnight and my flat is on a walk with no street lamps he dropped me off to my door and carried my bags in shortly after as I have walking difficulties. Great driver what a gem next time I use this firm I will be requesting the same driver I think his number was 271. Overall five star.

I've been using Lynx ever since I had to stop driving due to severe arthritis and I have never had a problem with them. Their drivers are very helpful and normally let me sit in the front passenger seat (obviously not under the current problem) because it's easier for me to get in and out. They are very polite and also help me with my shopping - one driver offered to take it right to my doorstep, bless him. The knack is to ring up and book in plenty of time - of. course you'll have to wait if you leave it to the last minute and there are no cars in your immediate area. I've just booked a taxi for a hospital appointment tomorrow, explained the appointment time and let the man on the phone tell me what time they will pick me up. Booking a taxi is a two person agreement - taxis don't have wings - yet ;-)
