Attended the Cook School for a half-day session on gluten-free cooking- spiced gnocchi with smoked haddock cream sauce followed by chocolate, pear & almond tart, amazing! Watched demonstrations from the impressive Nick Nairn himself before making the meal ourselves. Afterwards we enjoyed our 'creations' in the restaurant with great Menteith views. Enjoyable day with entertaining banter from our host (& very knowledgeable Carol) and fantastic cooking tips for recreating the dishes at home. Would definitely recommend!

I really enjoy attending wonderful watercolour classes every week but this is the first time I have attended an all day course. It was wonderful! Expert tuition, all materials provided (including a hand-operated press) and a comfortable, well-equipped studio with lots of light and space. After an interesting introductory session where Jill Dow introduced us to and ably demonstrated some of the techniques of linocut printing, we set about creating our designs, supported and encouraged along the way. We enjoyed a delicious light lunch in the adjoining (garden centre) cafe/restaurant and then we completed cutting our blocks and got printing! Excitement and fun galore. We all left with Christmas cards of our own designs. I learned a lot and really hope Santa brings me a starter kit. I can’t wait to try again....

I attended a half day weaving workshop with my daughter (age 12) and my mum. It was a fantastic way to spend a morning and the time flew by. Mairi was a wonderful teacher and offered a huge choice of yarns for us to use (we also took along some of our own to use) She also encouraged us to try out some different weaving techniques. We were all delighted with what we made. I would highly recommend these classes.
