Stirling railway station is on a route served by a number of different cities in Scotland including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Dundee and Aberdeen. There are also local services to Falkirk and Alloa with stations in between. The majority of the services are operated by Scotrail but there are also daily trains by LNER and the Caledonian Sleeper. Both run from Inverness to London at different times of the day. The entrance to the station from the road is beautifully maintained with a small parking area for drop off or taxis. Once you step inside you can really appreciate the beauty of this station. There is a WH Smtih and the ticket barrier which takes you onto the platform. To get to different platforms there are gentle curved staircases to take you to the footbridge and lifts for those who have mobility issues. The station has been recently done up as part of the electrification of the route to Alloa and Dunblane through to Glasgow and Edinburgh. I was not expecting such a beautiful station and was pleasantly impressed.
