Minas Gerais (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈminɐz ʒeˈɾajs]) is a state in the north of Southeastern Brazil. It ranks as the second most populous, the third by gross domestic product (GDP), and the fourth largest by area in the country. The state's capital and largest city, Belo Horizonte, is a major urban and finance center in Latin America, and is the sixth largest municipality in Brazil, after the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Brasilia and Fortaleza, but its metropolitan area is the third largest in Brazil with just over 5,500,000 inhabitants, after those of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Minas Gerais is the state with the largest number of Brazilian presidents.

"A imponente Cachoeira da Malacacheta é a menina dos olhos do parque. Está dividida em duas etapas, sendo que cada uma só pode ser vista de um dos lados do rio. Os 2 lados do rio são interligados por pontinhas de madeira que passam sobre 3 ilhotas. Possui uma queda total de 25m e diversas corredeiras. Ela é circundada por Mata Atlântica muito bem preservada. Abaixo da segunda queda de 15m forma-se uma piscina natural, a qual é propícia para o banho. Além disso possui: Jardim Sensorial, Estufa com explicação sobre os Polinizadores e Dispersores de plantas, Jardim das Suculentas, Pomar dos Pássaros, Corredor Ecológico, Pesca Esportiva no Rio das Antas, Pesca Esportiva no Laguinho, Solarium, Redários, Trilhas para caminhadas, Trilhas para bikes, Mirante e um charmoso Café-Bar."
