Things to do in St. Pete Beach, Florida (FL): The Best Shopping

December 18, 2021 Kiesha Cripe

Sugary-white sand, dolphins frolicking just off shore and eight major barrier islands make St. Pete Beach a postcard-perfect seaside destination. Situated on a peninsula off Florida's west coast, it balances its oceanfront charms with top-notch art museums, including the largest collection of Salvador Dali paintings outside of Spain. Kayak through the calm waters, take a ferry to nearby Caladesi Island State Park to experience the state's wild beauty or stroll the rapidly gentrifying downtown for one-of-a-kind cafes.

Gulf To Bay Bait & Tackle Shop

We were having trouble finding a rod to rent. Visiting from MN we own plenty of rods so we didn’t want to purchase one. The employee who seemed pretty young was so knowledgeable! Unfortunately they sold out of live bait except for fiddler crabs so we bought frozen bait which didn’t work well. We returned the following day and purchased some life bait and they even let us borrow a bucket for a few hours! Highly recommend this place!

I have ordered seafood here online several times and have just placed another order. Have always received fresh, well wrapped seafood shipped to my home in Toledo, OH. I was able to visit the shop while in St. Pete Beach on vacation. Got a lot of helpful information from a friendly staff. They now have a new machine to wrap and seal the seafood, making it ship even better.
