It evolved from the hermitage of Saint Gall, founded in the 7th century. Today, it is a large urban agglomeration (with around 160,000 inhabitants) and represents the center of eastern Switzerland. This is a fun way to spend an hour and a half doing something fun indoors (out of the cold and wet) with a group of people of differing ages. We were a group of 5: 3 young teens, my wife and I. It's interesting to have to work together to find and solve a series of puzzles in order to progress from room to room to then escape. There's help on hand to guide if time is getting tight or you take a wrong direction based on your interpretation of the clues and artifacts presented. The time flies and it's a combination of fun and mild stress so that you emerge relieved and entertained. Hopefully everyone finds something or solves a clue to feel part of the team effort. I want to go again! Pre-book online well in advance to avoid disappointment.
