Recognised the world over as the Home of Golf, St Andrews Links has borne witness to over 600 years of golfing history. That the game evolved and developed into its final form here has never been in question. Golf has been played on the famous Links since as early as the 1400s, and it was here in 1764, when the 22 hole Old Course was reduced, that today's 18-hole round was established, becoming the standard for golf courses the world over. One golf course has now become seven, and many of golf's most dramatic moments have occurred here. The Links has played host to the game's greats as well as those enthusiastic amateurs for whom the chance to play St Andrews' hallowed turf is a dream come true. As well as seven courses, the Links also manages four shops, three clubhouses and a Golf Academy - all open for the public to enjoy.
If your into golf this was a trip of a life time. Ive had the opportunity to play at great courses around the country. I play Torrey Pines in San Diego on a regular basis. St.Andrews by far has been the best golf and overall trip I've ever done. Play all the courses at St.Andrews, the staff the restraints the accommodations where all top notch and very reasonable. plan a year in advance and you will not be disappointed.

A traditional Scottish links golf course with sea views over 1.5 miles of coastline ranked in the top 60 courses worldwide and top 20 in Europe.
Playing our 5th and 6th rounds at Kingsbairns the vistas, the wide array of links like and parkland holes is as good as ever. It’s pricey and while still wonderful Crail, Castle, Torrance offer similar vistas and challenge at a fraction of the price. Our conclusion (our group has played over a 100 rounds in Kingdom of Fife over seven years) is that it’s a wonderful course that’s very playable but the price affects the appreciation over time. Our reluctant conclusion is that we’ve had our last rounds there.

Had a great experience having a family golf session with expert tutelage from Scott. Basics were taught and demonstrated to us all and sound advice given - so much of golf is pretty obvious when explained properly! We played a few holes of The Old Course using Trackmaster during our family time after the lesson and it was great fun. The guys at the centre were very friendly and we felt COVID safe and secure throughout. A brilliant experience which we'd definitely recommend to friends and would happily do again. Thanks Scott and team

The Duke's, owned and managed by the Old Course Hotel, is a lush, heathland golf course perched on the hillside just a few minutes from the hotel. Noted in Golf World's Top 100 Courses in the Scotland, this championship 18-hole course has magnificent greens, beautiful fairways, a fleet of electric golf buggies and five tees on every hole, making it most appealing to golfers of all abilities. Don't forget to visit The Duke's Clubhouse, a popular and relaxed dining venue with stunning views of St Andrews and beyond. The award-winning Duke’s Clubhouse offers a hearty selection of traditional food to warm the cockles of any weary golfer’s heart - tune in to the post-golfing analysis over a pint of beer or head on to the deck and catch a few rays of sun with a gin and tonic in hand.
I played here some years ago so it was an absolute pleasure to come back. The course is very well maintained throughout and the whole experience is enjoyable from the professional and friendly checking-in at the front desk (Covid-secure in these troubled times of course) to the practice areas, teeing-off at the daunting first hole and thru every hole. The views over the town of St Andrews from the 13th hole are absolutely stunning. We were lucky to have great weather (with a small amount of wind) so has great visibility over the shore and sea too. It’s a long course, with several longish walks from green to the next tee. We hired buggies this time - definitely the way to do it. It’s far from cheap so it’s only for special occasions. The only downside was that there was no food offering on a Monday and Tuesday so we missed out on that.

The ruling authority of the game of golf that decides rules of the game, organizes tournaments and serves as a private members club.
A bucket item ticked off here and was not disappointed. Was surprised that you could walk the course freely as long as it didn't interfere with the golf then all was good. Has the obliquetry photo taken on the bridge. It was a calm day the day we were there and it just seemed so serene. A trip to the gift shop for a few souvenirs also a requirement.
