The owner of the snake farm showed us a number of poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, introduced us to their life in nature. He also told us stories from his experience with snakes. Very interesting tour.

Following the safari next door, we visited the orphanage and loved every second of seeing orphaned elephants being looked after. Like the safari, the visitors weren’t allowed up close to the elephants allowing them to act naturally. Great work being done by the team here and long may it continue, and hopefully be an education to all.

Large zoo, very cheap entrance and cheap snacks and ice cream stalls in abundance. So many animals to see for little ones including komodo dragon. Lovely playground inside.

There are a large number of beautiful sea creatures to admire in this aquarium plus some exotic birds. If you plan to go to the piranha feeding you should be on time since they only feed them what looks like one chicken leg. This place was more extensive then I expected it to be and we spent an enjoyable couple of hours here. The kiosk has reasonably priced food too. The main complaint is that the exhibits often bear no resemblance to what is on the sign for the tank. Though on the plus side almost all have an english description. Tourist prices are less then 3x local price, so almost a bargain ;)
