TOURS LIMITED TO 10, 12 & 2 DAILY BECAUSE OF COVID - RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED! www.spacewalkoffame.com/book A museum dedicated to the Space Workers of the Canaveral Spaceport who built the rockets and launch pads that allowed the US to reach the Moon, and send probes to the outer planets. Many of the artifacts in the museum are simply on "long term loan" by those now retired space workers. We keep things exciting and personal with the opportunity to talk with people who worked there and to see what is new and coming in the American Space Program.
This museum in Titusville is an absolute "must see." It is much larger inside than it would appear from the outside, so give yourself a couple of hours to see it. The volunteer docents are retired NASA employees who can give you an amazing tour and answer every question with their first hand knowledge. The museum has the original launch consoles and artifacts from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle programs, including a tire from a space shuttle. Many of the artifacts were being thrown out by NASA and were saved by the people now volunteering at this museum because they knew the significance of these items. There is also an interactive area for kids and a nice gift shop. It is open Monday-Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and offers a senior and a military discount (with ID).

If you are in the Titusville/NASA/Kennedy Space Center area and you appreciate local history, take some time to visit the Pritchard House in downtown Titusville. Built in 1891, the local historic society has restored it to its original stature. Call ahead for a reservation for a private group tour. Ask for docent Sandi as she is a local resident who is so knowledgeable, interesting, and charming. She will spend at least an hour with you, provides insights, and answer questions. You walk throughout the two story house on tour, and visit the gardens on your own.

One of our cruise stops was Port Canaveral so I used Trip Advisor to find something new to do there. Parker Brothers Concepts was #1. I was interested in spite of the weak, most recent reviews. When I called, Justine answered and explained why those reviews weren't so good. Remodeling and repairs from a hurricane may have made some experiences not so good. Made sense to me and I booked the guided(VIP) tour for my group. Our ship had a customs procedure that we were not expecting and messed up our schedule. I left a message and hoped that we hadn't missed the tour. We were happy that when we finally arrived, Justine was ready for us. The museum itself wasn't very large with maybe a dozen or so vehicles (we were coming from Smithsonian territory after all) but the variety of vehicles was wonderful--from the Tron motorcycle to the Ghostbusters' Ecto-1! The vehicles change depending on shows and events and the ones we saw were pretty impressive. I can see how just taking the self-guided tour ($10) would not be very interesting. For example, we wouldn't have known that the Parker Bros. made the Mars Rover on display at the nearby Kennedy Visitor Center. Taking the VIP tour led by Justine was so special. Her depth of knowledge, experience (yes, she's driven the vehicles) and background stories brought these vehicles to life. She was friendly and answered any question we asked happily. We left with a deeper appreciation of the creativity and work behind everything we saw. Even if you're not a car person, just the connection with the various movies is interesting. If you are a car person, you'll be happy here.

Upon completion you will receive your own complementary Pirate Booty. Visit the new Blackbeard's Closet of Curiosities. Enjoy your adventure and visit us often, as we're always adding items from our latest excursions.
If you are interested in pirate and maritime history this is the place to go. The outside of the museum is deceptive. It looks small but it is packed with amazing, real artifacts and a guided tour. Interesting collection of historic weapons to include a cannon believed to have belonged to Blackbeard. The museum is set up like a pirate ship. They also have a lot of shipwreck items. The scavenger hunt was fun and after completing we received a "booty bag". Many hands on exhibits. In the attached pirate store they have pirate related clothing, games, books, toys and jewelry. Great prices. They also have a room called "Blackbeard's Closet of Curiosities" where you can purchase antiques and oddities from all over the world. Great place if you are looking for an unusual gift. They have now added a gallery with antique maritime paintings. We understand they will be adding an escape room at the end of summer.

The best collection of local Cocoa Beach Artist Kole Trent. At only 22 years old Kole has established himself amongst the greatest artist in the country. All of his art work has an added 3D experience that allows the art to jump right off the canvas. A great combination of oceanic, space, rainforest, and self expression spread throughout the whole gallery. A must visit cocoa beach attraction. The Trent Art Gallery is also the founder of the Cocoa Beach Mural Tour and has featured artists that are interchanged over time.

America's first national museum and memorial dedicated to all police in Federal, State, County and Local Departments killed in the line of duty.
A wonderful well done memorial to our fallen officers. The staff was very helpful in locating officers from home town.. See actual electric chair and gas chamber.. Worth spend a couple hours.

This museum is located on the Cape Canaveral Air force Station. The location has plenty of parking in parking lots outside the main buildings and in the area. There are two main buildings and a park outside the buildings. One of the buildings was the original firing control room that has much of the original equipment, a tribute to women in the space program and, now, a gift shop. The 2nd building has static displays for the local area, Cape Canaveral, a V-2 rocket and a space capsule. You can walk around outside the buildings in the large open field that has several of the pieces of equipment used to move and launch the rockets. Many of the rockets have been removed from the park, repairs and restored and are now residing in Hangar C but there is still one rocket on a stand to the south of the park. This is an older museum but a must see for anyone that is a space program fan.

This was our first visit (my sweetie & I, both in our 60s) & within walking distance to our hotel (Four Points by Sheraton) & I remember seeing it on TripAdvisor when searching for Things To Do. Closed on Mondays & we ended up going on Sunday afternoon (around 4, closes at 6, I think). We started at the top floor. Lots of things to read for the artifacts there. I don't think that was very kid-friendly, though (at least the top floor) (what kid wants to read about history?). A couple items must've been added after the floor was set-up b/c at least 2 items I remember I couldn't read the entire thing on the wall cuz there was an added item shoved up against the wall which covered up a portion of what was s'posed to be read on the item next to it. Not very strategic for layout purposes. Second floor had the dinosaur replicas & skeletons. Some moved & made sounds. Interesting. Bottom floor (where we walked in & purchased our tix, they do have senior & military discount, is the gift shop (how surprising) plus a closed off area where there are games. Pinball, skee ball, Pac-Man / Space Invaders combo machine, basketball hoops, air hockey, foosball, etc. All free (included w/admission price, that is). Since it was so late in the afternoon, we had this room all to ourselves cuz it was about 5:30. We took full advantage & played many of the games in there. Give at least 2 hrs for walking around all 3 floors. If you have small kids, the 3rd floor is history & artifacts.
