Great independent local toy shop, plenty of choice and value for money. Much prefer this to big department stores and it's supporting the local area.

Fantastic service and product. I highly recommend the JDC. Wanted a diamond brooch repurposed to a ring. Allan spent time helping me with design ideas, kept me informed of progress and the ring was ready at the time promised. The ring is beautiful - better than I had imagined. I am thrilled and can not thank him enough for his care and attention

Wine shop and tasting room. Buy over 200 bottles to take away or sample wines in store from an always changing list of over 15 wines. Try our cheese platters and snacks too. Please note although we do serve food, it is a limited selection designed to compliment the wine, and we're not classed as a restaurant.
We’ve known Sam and Charlie since they opened. The addition of Ollie (ex Pipe of Port) and Alison has also been a most welcome boost to an already superb team. The choice of wines on offer is fabulous. What makes it even more fun is the regular infusions of new and exciting additions to the stock, which means that regular visitors can continue to make exciting new discoveries for themselves. The tasting evenings are also a must right down to the food options which are always an excellent match. Being as the team’s knowledge base is extremely strong, it becomes a superb learning experience as well as great fun! Well done guys, keep up the great work.

A contemporary Art Gallery with a working pottery and painting studio by the Thames Estuary in the quaint Old Town of Leigh-on-Sea. Established in 1991 by potter Richard Baxter and artist Sheila Appleton, now joined by ceramicist Julie O'Sullivan & painter Ian E Smith. Works on sale and to commission.
I always enjoy a visit, it's an oasis of culture and calm, in our often too lively Old Town. The owners produce marvellous work, the conversation can be very entertaining and you can often see work in progress. The pottery is extremely tempting, the glazes are brilliant. The two painters works are very different, but you could easily walk away with a piece. there's a wide price range - so you could easily be tempted!
