The Information Centre staff are very friendly and love to help; it is a multi award winning service, and the staff want to ensure you receive platinum service. :) So do come in and see us. A treasure trove of information about West Bay in a beautifully restored Methodist Chapel on the beach. There is something to interest all ages and the interactive activities are particularly popular with families. A fun way to learn about the Jurassic coast, forces of nature, shipbuilding, tourism, local industry, trails and walks and information about the filming of Broadchurch. We have a range of visitor information and a small gift shop that includes quality local products. We are operated by a local charity and mainly run by volunteers, admission is free but donations are invited to help with our running costs. With the help of a generous grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Trinity House renovated the Engine Room at Lizard Lighthouse, retaining some of the old engines. It now also features new exhibition material, an audio visual room and a number of interactive displays. The Lizard Lighthouse Heritage Centre was officially opened in 2009 by HRH The Princess Royal. The distinctive twin towers of Lizard Lighthouse mark the most southerly point of mainland Britain. See displays depicting Trinity House's history, housed in the original engine room. It was commissioned in 1752. For over 250 years, the lighthouse has provided a welcoming landfall light to vessels crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Tours of Lizard Lighthouse are organised under licence from the Corporation of Trinity House.

The National Park Visitor Centre - Princetown is an ideal place to start your visit to Dartmoor. Newly refurbished it features new and exciting exhibitions, displays and a children's discovery zones as well as a stunning photography exhibition, 'Ancient Dartmoor'.
