Moon Jazz takes place on the third Thursday of the month (except August), now in it's seventh year. We have a regular following and a good attendance ranging in age from 16 upwards. The Moon Jazz House Band (MJHB) usually hosts 8 of the eleven nights each year and the remaining nights are offered to jazz combos to do the hosting. We positively encourage young musicians (and older) to join in and help create a spontanous evening in our jammer sessions that top and tail the main set. Younger jammers call tunes with the house or host band to start the evening, followed by a set from the main band, ending in a older jammers session. The evening ends with the house/guest band and jammers may join in if they wish. This all takes place in the old cinema which feels and looks every bit like a jazz club. This is music of a social kind. The audience and musicians get a great evening out that's lively and sociable.

We are open with a large, covered outside area. We are NOT taking bookings. The Old Duke is a music venue situated on the cobbled King Street in the heart of Bristol. Named after Duke Ellington, the pub has become world famous for it's live traditional, New Orleans inspired Jazz music. More recently the pub has added Blues, Folk and more modern Jazz bands to its program and now has live music on every night of the week, Saturday afternoons and Sunday lunch times.
This pub is an institution in Bristol and has been playing live jazz and blues most nights for many years. It's often packed to the rafters but don't let that put you off. The slightly older crowd you get here are out to enjoy themselves and it's a very friendly atmosphere.

Far down the rabbit hole in the heart of Falmouth lies The Chintz Bar, a bar like no other. Vivid pattern wallpaper, walls of mirrors, secret rooms and gaudy vintage furniture evoke the bright and abstract fantasy created by Lewis Carrol's 'Alice In Wonderland.' Specialising in wines, cheese and charcuterie The Chintz Bar is the best place to relax, put your feet up and watch the mayhem unfold..
At first floor level with rustic terrace off and further seating in courtyard below. Amazing eclectic decor with great beers to boot. A 6.3% guest ale today. Order on your phone app or friendly and helpful barman if you are challenged or a Luddite. So pleased you have managed to open while others in town have remained closed due to the covid19 palaver.

Went last night to the Jazz club. Incredible musicians, lovely atmosphere. If you haven’t been, please do try it. I lived in St Ives for years before finding it. I should not have waited so long...
