We are a family of four, including two young children who were staying nearby during a weekend visit to Scotland. We went to The Colebrooke Arms for our evening meal. Covid controls were noticeable with hand sanitiser available and an outside area including an undercover section. As the weather wasn’t good, we opted to sit indoors. On taking our seats, the gentleman running the bar cleaned the table, provided the menu and made sure we were comfortable. There was a nice atmosphere, with local customers friendly but not intrusive. We ordered home-made steak pie, macaroni cheese and fish and chips. Prices for food and drink were reasonable and competitive. The service was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals. We had no complaints at all and would definitely recommend.

Just over the road from New Douglas Park, home of Hamilton Academical Football Club - the Accies to their fans - this popular meeting place is a pub that takes its sport seriously. The regulars all have their favourites seats around the big circular bar where they engage in lively banter with the friendly staff. It's a busy daytime bar, a hit especially with horseracing fans.

Went for a family lunch to enjoy an afternoon together. Was expecting a nice lunch, but it turned out to be absolutely fab. 3 different choices between the 4 at our table and each and every person said it’s was fantastic. Some great quirky desserts and just a great place to be. Service first class. Food and menu explained to you. Presentation of food is wonderful and the taste is superb. A great team and is far better than what it expires to be. Very very good food. Well done and thank you.
