What a spectacular ride, we climbed to over 700 metres, with views to Mt Cook and Queenstown. The horses were fantastic, sure footed and responsive, and my grandson who is a complete beginner was safe and confident staying with the guide while we had the opportunity to canter numerous times. Our guide Frenchie was great; relaxed, fun and informative and made sure everyone was safe and comfortable with where we were riding. Deb, the owner, runs a great activity and whether you're hanging out to climb on a horse or just want a great way to see some real New Zealand country I would highly recommend this.

Addington Raceway is the home of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club, Spectators Bar and Bistro, the Christchurch Casino NZ Trotting Cup and one of Christchurch's leading event & conference centres. From school balls, to meetings, to weddings, trade shows and and corporate conferences our Events Centre covers it all. We host free to attend Harness Racing Meetings every week and on the second Tuesday in November we also play host to New Zealand's biggest race day, Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup Day. With over 25,000 people on course this is a social event not to be missed. Addington Raceway - we're truly diverse, with something for everyone!

A great way to fill in a couple of hours. We got the $30 pass for the kids which included bowling, laser tag, gaming room and a 10 dollar cafe voucher. Great value. Recommend booking though, it's a very busy place! Will be back.

We had some very nice coctails at the Bar while listenning to live Music, which the lady had an amazing voice. We dine at the Chinese Restaurant onsite, which the food was also of a high standard. A very well kept establishment
