Things to do in South Holland Province, The Netherlands: The Best Walking Tours

January 18, 2022 Jasper Kershner

Encompassing two of the Netherlands’ three largest cities (Rotterdam and The Hague), Zuid-Holland (South Holland) is also home to important towns like Leiden, Gouda and Delft. And many lovely smaller towns dot the gorgeous green landscape. Alphen aan den Rijn has several interesting attractions, including Dutch history theme park Archeon. Picturesque Kinderdijk, birthplace of the legend of the Cat and the Cradle, also has many windmills that together are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We are 2 flight attendants who are professionals in the world of travel with many years of experience under our belt of service, customer care and knowledge or international travel. We will gladly take you through our metropolis allowing you to admire famous icons. The part we always liked about a tour was introduced to those hidden local gems: A hidden garden, a quirky name of a building or statue, a winding, trendy alley were 'things happen' a place to get authentic food or simply be able to get into the beat of the city as it reveals itself to us! You know that satisfying feeling in your heart when you have been to a city and felt really embraced by it? That is the feeling we are determined you will leave Rotterdam with.

I really enjoyed learning about the 9 Success Factors from the Blue Zones. Sam showed us ways to incorporate these practices from his native Sardinia as we walked through The Hague. My cousin, was already very knowledgeable about this and I was a novice, but we both had a lovely time. Kitty led us to some special gardens in The Hague and showed us what plants are edible and how they can help your body.

I am going to take u back in time, where The Hague was founded. What is the history of the Netherlands, and what role did The Hague have in the history. How did the Dutch royal family came to power and what role do they play in current Holland. These and other stories will be told during the walking tour. The Hague is beautifull and rich in history. A lot of the landmarks are still here. With a guided walking tour u not only know the story behind the buildings but also what the function is today. History of The Hague is Dutch history and I would love to tell u all about it. We walk with small or private groups to have some interaction and flexibilty in the tour. I like to adjust the tour according to the group. I also arrange water and some snacks to have a great morning or afternoon.

Inclusions: Bottled water, Snacks, A local guide who is going to tell u everything about The Hague!

Exclusions: Coffee and/or Tea
