The Miller Centre is home to a non-professional Theatre Company which stages nine or so productions each year, most of which run for ten performances. The 186-seat theatre is fully air conditioned, has surround sound, raked seating, a licensed bar, induction loop and wheelchair access. Our website has full details of upcoming productions and performance times
I have seen numerous shows at this theatre and A Christmas Carol matched up to the usual high standards. A talented cast brought this innovative take on the classic story to life, leaving the theatre goer feeling full of festive cheer at the end. Excellent sets, costumes and overall production, plus comfy seating makes it worth seeking out future shows.

It offers a comprehensive booking service for all shows and events at The Capitol as well as selected regional events.
Went to see Peter Pan with my husband and two daughters (10 & 12). Have to say we all had a lovely time. Great performances and typical pantomime cheesy humour... Brilliant pantomime dame stole the show but all were good.

What more can you ask for? All the latest films and such amazing prices. The snacks and drinks are great value too (shame some still feel the need to sneak their own snacks in rather than supporting the cinema). Seats are comfortable and the new screen is a great addition. Looking forward to seeing their new building works complete.

I’m a regular user of this independent cinema . I saw the film “ 1917” there this week which I can recommend , and I recommend that you see it at The Carlton cinema where the seats are comfortable and the surround sound is amazing . I also suggest that you sign up for a loyalty card . Oh I nearly forgot ! The prices are the cheapest that I know for a cinema , and it’s on our doorstep ! How good is that ! Lol

What a great place went today and the manager and team were so welcoming and great at keeping us all happy seated and ordering what we needed. Felt very safe and so great to be back supporting the cinema. Manager was amazing he made sure everything was organised and running smoothly and no one left out of ordering what they needed. Thank you fir a great visit during half term.

A state-of-the-art digital cinema and stylish cafe-bar in the heart of the Weald of Kent. Fully accessible by wheelchair.
We were just here for a cup of tea and a cake. I wasn't expecting to find anywhere in Hawkhurst in the late afternoon (we were here to see the industrial estate on the old station site - it's a long story) and I wasn't expecting to find anywhere still open. The Kino was a joy, offering exactly what we needed. The young staff were really friendly and chatty without being intrusive. The covid precautions were good. It was really relaxing (and set us up for over an hour of torrential rain on the M25). [I can't comment on the cinema, we only stopped for the tea.]

The operation has a lovely charm to it and I would hate to see it replaced with a multi-national cinema complex with no character. It's local, it's friendly, it has current films and is excellent value for money - long live Folkestone Silver Screen!
