Steve and Sally were fantastic hosts during our family alpaca walking experience today (25 August 2020). We have spent the morning with all the alpacas and my girls loved it saying “it was the best experience ever!” Would highly recommend a visit to see the alpacas. The refreshments afterwards and homemade cakes capped off a perfect morning. It’s a thumbs up and five stars from us! ????????????????????.

An invigorating 1.3 mile climb on the South West Coast Path through mixed woodland, rich in wildlife and with magnificent views out across the Bristol Channel. The return route drops gently downhill along a Victorian drive built by the Luttrells of Dunster Castle. There is an optional adventurous detour for keen geologists if the tide is low.
Beautiful views and wonderful countryside, there are dozens of footpaths that lead upto and around North Hill from Culvercilff. The going is a little steep in places but manageable by taking rest at the numerous benches.

Ty was the son of afellow table-tennis club member who died suddenly of leukaemia aged just 20. His father Piers carved the small animal sculptures from a special stone in the wood at the end of the family garden so it is very pertinent to Ty's childhood. The visit was especially poignant for me and my sister as my brother also died of leukaemia aged 29. Using the list of animal sculptures it provides a great adventure for children looking to find the small statues in the wood. We parked in an industrial estate and wallked across two fieldsto enter the wood. Nice place to visit with children and remember Ty.

Bathampton is a pretty village on the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. What better starting place for a great family day out exploring a canal!

Regularly visit the beach with the dogs during winter months, they love,as they are, allowed on all of it, summer months there is a restriction on dogs on the beach, my 2 young kids love the beach even in the winter, it's always, clean, and during the summer you can cool off with a lovely ice cream, or in the winter a warm drink, from any of the cafe's along the front, well worth a visit.

Birnbeck Pier, known locally as the Old Pier, stands on the North Somerset coastline at Weston-super-Mare. Built between 1864 and 1867, it is a unique structure, being the only British pier that links the mainland to an island. Over its lifetime it has enjoyed mixed fortunes. In its heyday it was the Victorian equivalent of a modern theme-park, but has been shut to the public since 1994.
We're now advised that there is a Compulsory Purchase Order on Birnbeck Pier! Allelluya! Such good news - all the residents of Weston-super-Mare and beyond are delighted! We hope they can soon get on with it and save this wonderful landmark, the only pier connected to an island in the country! And just this week a new Banksy artwork appeared adjacent to the pier. I went along to see it but it had been stolen in the night, before the Council came along to safeguard it. They even took part of the stone wall. But it was still lovely to see the pier, even though it gets rustier by the day. Not long now before it's saved and returned to its former glory! Hurrah!

Magical. I was sceptical about the rejuvenation properties of the water but it is true! I have taken my before and after photos to prove it!
