Conwy Valley Railway Museum & Model Shop

Located in the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed adjacent to the main station, the Conwy Valley Railway Museum is a must for all that enjoy railways. Our miniature railway takes you on a 8 minute trip around the beautifully landscaped grounds. If you are lucky you may see wild rabbits grazing by the pond! Trains run most days, in the season and every weekend there will be a steam engine pulling the train*. At other times a diesel engine will be in service. Dogs are allowed into our museum and on our trains.

Platform Galeri

We are a sustainable, family run art gallery nestled in the heart of the Snowdonia National park. Husband and wife owners Jacha, a renowned artist and conservationist, and Gwyn who has been the station's caretaker for over 40 years are passionate about inspiring and educating visitors about global conservation issues. The Platform Galeri is a modern space exhibiting Jacha's wide range of environmental artwork. On display is a selection of paintings, photographs, installations, etchings and sculptures, many of which highlight the conservation issues very close to Jacha's heart. The artwork even spreads out onto the station platform, with Edith the Rhino and Dr.Sen the Orangutan, two recycling sculptures raising awareness of the plight of each animal as well as highlighting the amount of rubbish we humans produce.
