Great view of the Basilica. Bridge itself very photogenic, even so at sunset. You can go to Slovakia on foot in a few minutes if you want to cheat and “tick” another country.

We stopped here on our way from Skalica to Bratislava - a part of Iron curtain cycling path that is almost 150 km long. I suggest it for those who enjoy beautiful scenery and do not require too many people around. The bridge is a short stop for fun. It is not a straight one. You go up and down which makes you to stop at the top to take the photos - on one side there is Slovakia and as you turn, you can see Austria. You can refresh yourself in a small restaurant. There are playgrounds for kids, and you can even see the reminders of the real iron curtain.

This is safe and lovely bridge to walk over and view the river and all its activity below. It has amazing design! If you go from the city side and then via left when you get to the other end, there is a quiet and well kept park with lots of seats, fountains, little café and children's activity centre.

The Colonnade Bridge is a bridge over the Vah river in Piestany and it connects the town to the Spa Island. It is the longest covered bridge in Slovakia and a preeminent Functionalist construction with many precious art objects.
