Guests entering the lounge will receive unlimited amenities that include hot and cold food and beverages, comfortable and relaxing seating with plenty of power outlets, high-speed Wi-Fi, local and national newspapers and up-to-the-second flight information. Every Escape Lounge menu is developed by an award-winning local chef.
We did not know there was an Escape Lounge in Reno until we reached the airport. This lounge is a huge plus for travelers going out of Reno. Very nice service and food options. Fresh fruit, real eggs (as opposed to powdered), lots of coffee options, etc etc. It makes waiting for the plane easy.

Wonderful to watch salmon return which brought the bears to feast. Mid Oct hit the trifecti: fall color changes of the Aspens, returning salmon, bear viewing. Rainbow Trail is great for all ages and an easy paved walk.

I had read Isabella Bird's A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains which I encourage everyone to read if you are interested in western history in the late 1800s most especially written by an indomitable, eloquent woman who traveled alone in the wild west. Isabella traveled from San Francisco to Truckee on the Central Pacific RR and her observations of Truckee and the region are well worth reading (as well as her journeys into Colorado). I stopped at the Welcome Center (located in the current train station but not the location where Isabella arrived) to tell them about this book. The woman there showed me maps and information about the railroad and locations where the snow sheds and tunnels were built where Isabella no doubt came through. I was intrigued and later went up Donner Pass to see for myself the historic tunnels and snow sheds. I am glad I stopped because I would never have known anything about this area had it not been for the kind woman at the Welcome Center and of course Isabella Bird.

Attended Interbike 2018 at Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The spaces were excellent and had tons of rooms for break out sessions. The outdoor demo space was well utilized and convenient. There's a walking bridge from Atlantis Casino to the convention center, which was definitely nice if you stayed or ate at the Atlantis. There was plenty of free parking, which was a huge bonus.

People were very nice. Security was always there. Nice building for our conference. There were homeless around the building.
