This is probably the best experience of a cruise ship excursion . The artisans were very knowledgeable, fun and made sure we all had experience of "blowing the glass". True craftsmen. Our glass work arrived safely to us at home and is a nice reminder of our time in Alaska. The garden grounds are something else, absolutely beautiful.

While you’re in port in Skagway, visit a local glassblowing studio, Jewell Gardens, for a glassblowing demonstration and tour. Glass isn’t the only focus, though; Jewell Gardens also boasts an organic vegetable and flower garden, which often gives inspiration to the artists.
Inclusions: Local guide
Exclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off, Food and drinks (available for purchase), This excursion is not covered by our worry-free policy
We went to Jewell Gardens as part of a glassblowing event (there is a working studio here). The gardens themselves are beautiful and fun to walk around but the combination of the gardens with the glassblowing is what made it special.

My family of 6 (2 adults and kids ages: 15, 12, 11 and 8) really enjoyed the zip lining tour. It was super fun and the guides made it even more exciting with their funny jokes and activities. The guides were excellent - very knowledgable, helpful, patient and super funny. The timing (half day) was perfect (not too long not too short). They also offered a funny tour of the area while we drove to the sight. I highly recommend. If you are there say hi to Austin, Tina, Dylan and Kyle (best guides ever!)

Our tour included a comfortable bus ride to the summit ending in a border crossing to the Yukon. The Driver/tour guide was a awesome young fellow who clearly enjoyed his job and made sure everybody enjoyed this part of the trip. The train took us back to Skagway and we had a different but equally awesome views of the beautiful scenery and the narration was very informative. Definitely a must do and the city of Skagway is a very nice city to visit.

Booked as an excursion whilst cruising with Silversea. The description sounded great and as I'd not been on a horse for quite a few years I thought this might be fun to get back in the saddle. Unfortunately it promised more than it delivered and most of the slow plodding walk was nose to tail through forest and along dirt track shared with hikers, cars and small buses. I guess that's that's probably fine for some people with limited horseback experience, but I was somewhat disappointed.

We had a great tour! The weather was perfect and we could see for miles. This trip wasn't as expensive as the train. My friends took the train and were actually wishing they had joined us because we could see more and we were able to get out and take photos.

Explore the strenuous off-trail alpine terrain of wild Alaska with fantastic views on this full day adventure. This tour is only recommended for hikers and mountain climbers looking for a challenging adventure. Our trip begins with a 40-minute van ride into the mountains and up the White Pass, which borders Alaska and the Yukon Territory in Canada. After we gear up, we’ll venture into the alpine of White Pass. Our route will cover about 6 miles and gain up to 3,000 feet in elevation. Typically, our objective is to climb to the summit of Feather Peak or Mount Cleveland, both of which stand at about 5,500 feet. We may use crampons, ice axes, ropes and other technical equipment to access the summit. Safety is always our top priority; the exact route will depend on conditions, group ability, and your guide's discretion. We allow for a full 8 hours for this adventure, however, timing in the mountains can be variable. We’ll be sure to get you back to your cruise ship on time.
Inclusions: Trail Lunch, snacks, water, Professional guide, Trekking poles, Gaiters, Lunch, Bottled water
Exclusions: Gratuities

On a Norwegian cruise excursion we were warmly welcomed right away by Dylan and Matt, our guides for the day. They were energetic and personable, which helped any apprehension before ziplining and the slightly soggy weather. Both improved shortly and we were having a blast, sharing jokes and taking in the amazing views from the treetops. These two guides really made the day fun and memorable.
