Great Beach ,loved walking the beach in the morning on the white sand which was beautiful. We stayed at a resort so our part of the beach was private so wasn’t as many people as the public beach which was nice!

Public swimming beach known for its clean, hard-packed sand.
While I can appreciate people on vacation looking forward to a spectacular time, only to arrive and see one of the most beautiful beaches in the world In a bit of disarray, does not take away from all its splendor! What it does remind me is how wonderful our natural resources are, how important it is to take care of them as much as we can, and understand what we can do to preserve it. The algae and bacteria are usually found in pockets, but this year they've mushroomed to stretch up and down the coast including Siesta Key. Warmer waters and runoff from lakes and streams can exacerbate the problem, but the ecosystems will replenish itself at this beach along with many Florida Gulf coast beaches, they will be restored. It is sad to only experience disappointment because of the current state and a bit disheartening, but it is not an amusement park that closed when you showed up at the gates because the amusement park decided to do a full restoration.. That’s is like saying you’re going to the beautiful Caribbean beaches only to be caught in a hurricane, and say it’s the worst beach in the world because of the rain and torrential winds. Silly! The beautiful white sand, the turquoise and green water and amazing weather a majority of the calendar year still makes Siesta Key one of my favorite beaches and still pne of the best in the world! I’ll be back! :-)

This rare geologic feature is a great place to view birds and marine wildlife, and it is also next to a scenic beach.
Great snorkel location at the bridge between turtle beach and crescent beach. About 6 feet visible and on a great day 8 to 15 feet visibility. People come from both beaches to snorkel. Mornings are best for snorkel. The Rocks are like reefs that draw fish.

Because of the recent hurricanes our visit to Turtle Beach (08-24-2020) was way too short. The winds and downpour were just torrential. During our 1. 5 hour stay, we did get to enjoy the lack of crowds when compared to the public beach at Siesta Key, it was easy to find, easy to park and even easy to find just the right spot. The beach was a bit narrow, and lots of shells along the shoreline. Since I'm a tenderfoot, I was glad I had water shoes with me. The park/beach area was clean, and had very nice amenities such as picnic pavilions and playground for kids. Another point of interest is easy access to all kinds of water activity rentals. As a result of the short beach time, we decided to go to Turles (across the street) for lunch. Very enjoyable and great service by our server Kathleen.

Shell beach is beautiful, quiet and calm. Great fishing just in front of the first house. The homeowners to the left have tried to block access to this beach but in Florida wet sand is considered public. They will send Alex, the security guard, out to harass you but if you give him a bourbon he’ll be on his way. This beach. as with all beaches in Florida, is public all the way to the end. The homeowner put some stakes in the water to signify the mean high water line but they are waaaay off. I am a wetland scientist and spent 20 years delineating wetlands and I can assure you, their line is FaKe. Go there and have a goods time. There is parking on N shell rd for about 15 cars.
