When the morning light washes over the overgrown temples and ruins of Angkor Wat, a simple Siem Reap sunrise becomes a profound event. The ancient structures are contained within one of the largest religious complexes in the world. The complex and the 12th century Angkor Thom royal city are considered the main reasons to visit Siem Reap. Get a lesson in national history at the Cambodian Cultural Village, and a lesson in bargaining at the Angkor Night Market, a bonanza of shopping stalls, food vendors, and bars.

Having undergone minimal restoration, stone pillars and carvings intertwine with massive tree roots and jungle in this stunning temple complex.
An amazing Temple and not too far from the city of Siem Reap. The location for the Lara Croft Tomb Raider movie, this temple is being reclaimed by nature and the sight of these magnificent trees enveloping the temple is awesome in the true meaning of the word. If you can only see one temple during your visit to Siem Reap this would definitely be my choice.

Wow, what to say. This review is 1 year long overdue (I'm sorry I took so long!). To keep it simply and brief (even though I want to ramble on), my time here during the 6-day retreat was one of the most trans-formative, grounding and healing moments of my life. My soul was lost in its beliefs, my heart still a bit hurt and my ego roaring for perfection instead of realizing the beautiful perfection of imperfection in everything and any moment. It was exactly the kind of teaching, healing and guided experience I needed in my journey. To Adele and Jean, "My sincere gratitude and love." Your gift to the world cannot be put into words, despite my best effort. I am eternally thankful, will never forget Wayist, your teachings and of course you both. You have set me on the path for a remarkable future and amazing things have happened since my time there! I will see you both soon again." I cannot recommend Wayist any more highly. If you have an open mind and an open heart you will receive the love and guidance here to carry you forward on your journey. Thankyou from every corner of my heart and my soul. Namaste.

Contacted Mr Seng before our trip and he was most helpful via whatsapp. As he was on another job, his friend Mr Sokhy took us daily for the temple tours and into Siem Reap as our hotel was quite remote via tuk tuk. Very knowledgable and friendly service from Mr Sokhy, always on time and with an ice box for complimentary waters and chilled tissues which were much needed after visiting the temples in the heat! Would recommend and not hesitate to book again! Thank you!

I am a tuk-tuk driver based in Siem Reap. I offer various services including tours of Angkor, airport transportation, and day-to-day transportation.
We hired Mr Nin for half day tour of big circuit after spending a full day with a private tour guide. We felt experience with Mr Nin was more relaxed, fun and flexible. He greeted us after every temple with a big smile and some cold water. It was also lovely to meet his 4 year old daughter who joined us - she couldn’t have been any cuter (-:

Hello! My name is Voun Daniel, Call me Mr. Dan. I am an English-speaking Car and Tuk Tuk driver, fully licensed with identity papers and uniform. I've lived in Siem Reap for over 7 years so l know the area extremely well. Hire me to be your private driver for tours and airport pick-up. Save time and money by booking me to take you around Siem Reap and the Angkor archaeological site.
Mr. Daniel wasn’t available himself for the day of our temple tour so he arranged for his brother, Mr. Kong, to drive us, and a guide, Mr. Tong to show us around the temples. Both were lovely and we had a very enjoyable day visiting Angkor Wat and three other temples. The day was planned by Mr. Daniel and all went very smoothly. It was very easy to arrange by WhatsApp. We wanted an air conditioned car rather than tuk tuk due it being a long day in the heat and this was arranged for us.

I have grown-up in Cambodia surrounded by its historic ancient sights, beautiful scenery, and the timelessness of its world history. I have been working in the tourism industry my whole life to support my family. I do this by guiding travelers, helping them experience Cambodia, and making sure my travelers have a great time! Contact me with the links below so we can get started!
Mr Viti and his assistant Mr Tom were both very friendly, approachable and fun! All arrangements for the itinerary was professionally handled by Mr. Viti via WhatsApp. There was always a cold bottle of water and a cool towel, very necessary on these hot Cambodian days!! They were also very informative and went to a couple of extra sites for me without complaint!! Highly recommended, and I hope to use them again next time I am in SIem Reap!!

Dear great value customer - I am Sokhy, tuk tuk driver in Siem Reap. English speaking, have good service, friendly and honest. I was driving around 5 years ago. Happy to share history. Please connect before you arrival in Siem Reap.
Thanks Mr Sokhy for the past 6 days, it has been great having you take us around the temples plus daily lunches into Siem Rep with our 2 young kids (as our hotel was out of town). Always on time, even though with our children we were always a bit late getting out! Very friendly and knowledgeable driver and guide. It helped loads having ice cold water and wet wipes at the ready after the visiting each temple. Would recommend anyone heading to Siem to contact before and arrange as required. Mr Sokhy can recommend a tour or can be flexible to meet needs. Thanks once again!

Banteay Srei or Banteay Srey is a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located in the area of Angkor, it lies near the hill of Phnom Dei, 25 km north-east of the main group of temples that once belonged to the medieval capitals of Yasodharapura and Angkor Thom.
Known popularly as Ladies temple this red sandstone temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is widely praised as Jewel of Angkor Wat for its intricate carvings. Another piece of interesting information- this is the only major temple in Angkor not built by a monarch - the construction is credited to the courtiers named Vishnukumara and Yajnavaraha.

King Rajendravarman II built "Pre Rup" in the 10th century, as his state-temple, and dedicated it to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism - "the one who creates, protects and transforms the universe". This temple-mountain has beautifully carved false doors on its upper level, offering fantastic views of the "Angkor Archaeological Park". It is also believed that "Pre Rup" may have been used as a funerary temple, as its name - "Pre Rup" - recalls (in the Khmer language) some of the hinduism's rituals of cremation. It is best seen on early mornings or at sunsets and you can easily combine its visit with the nearby breathtaking temples of "Ta Prohm" and "Banteay Kdei", as well as of next door "Srah Srang", the large pool and terrace of the "Royal Baths" of the Khmer Court. Enjoy!
