Things to do in Shanghai Region, Shanghai Region: The Best Food & Drink

January 28, 2022 Trinity Boughner

Shanghai is the cool, confident face of modern China, and its energy is infectious. Go to the Bund to watch ships on the river and marvel at the huge variety of architectural styles on display, or watch the crowds go by in People’s Square. Shoppers should make a beeline for the Fabric Market, where you can have a suit or dress tailor-made for you at bargain prices. At night, explore all manner of fashionable restaurants, bars and nightclubs, or just stroll through the city enjoying the spectacular neon lights.

Blackstone Magic Bar

Inspired by legendary 20th century magician Harry Blackstone Sr., The Blackstone Magic Bar is a brand new concept created by Mr. Anson Chen. It combines elements of magic with innovative mixology, stylish and modern interior design and close-up magic performed by some of the best magicians in Asia.

Reviewed By JiroumiS - Shanghai, China

I'd read about the Blackstone Magic Bar months ago.. but finally made my way there after finding their wechat account and purchasing tickets via wechat. The drinks were good. The show performed by Anson was great! a little short, i could have watched him for an hour more! card tricks, mind reading, vanishing, and more! I understand only some shows are in English while most are performed in chinese. This is a little sad, I'd attend often if the performers were speaking in a language I could understand . . . haha
