I have been in the travel industry for years. First working in a hotel then airline and finally owning my own Travel Agency. We work for you our valued clients not the supplier. We are paid a commission on the bookings we send. There are never any additonal fees except where noted in writing like when booking airfare. The supplier does not pay commission on these reservation sometimes we need to charge for these complicated and often time consuming reservations.
