December 24, 2021 Fernanda Pittenger

Originally founded as a Roman city and now home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Seville is bursting with antique charm. The Alcazar palace complex is a stunning collage of architectural styles, and the Cathedral will impress you with its beauty and its status as the burial site of Christopher Columbus. The Metropol Parasol is the world’s largest wooden structure, a massive mix of grids and swirls that contains a market and a terrace observatory.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I rented a bike from them for the 950 km journey to Santiago and I could not of made a better choice. Their service was outstanding. When my hotel would not permit me to store the bike on the first night they opened their store for me on Sunday so I could set off on time. When I experienced problems due probably to the 36 degree heat and jet lag they brought me another bike. They arranged for me to drop off the bike in Santiago at the conclusion of my journey. Sofia was my main contact during the complete process and she was excellent. Can’t say enough good things about her and the company.

I booked this myself at the suggestion of my hotel. They were amazing. They rebooked me and when I called to let them know it would not work, they got me in one the first row on my original request date. The show is small and personal in a very intimate surrounding. Fernando greets with friendliness. The dancers only spoke Spanish and I wished I understood what they said because it seemed so special You could not ask for a better experience. I will go again when I return to Sevilla.

The Flamenco show is performed on a stage in a small theatre. You cannot get a drink but the show is only an hour long and there are some good bars just a few metres away. I didn’t have any expectations from the show. The show started with a mournful singer and a guitarist and I was fearful about what I had let myself in for. However, once the dancers appeared their skill and passion was captivating and I could even appreciate the role of the vocals! This is flamenco as it is meant to be performed and not the tourist version found in some of the bars.
