There are two techniques that are taught during the lesson. First, is to strengthen the passaggio. This is where the voice begins to crack, the place where the voice begins to encounter difficulty. Learning to strengthen this muscle will connect the flow in the voice, while extending the range high and low. Second, is learning to use the body to power and support the voice.
Chris has been coaching my 10 year old daughter for about 6 months and in this time we have seen not only a huge improvement in her command of her voice but she seems to really understand and execute the techniques Chris teaches. She loves her weekly lessons and I would happily recommend Chris to anyone seeking vocal / singing coaching.

Experience Japanese culture at our remote, secluded salon. We're about a 4-minute walk from the Odakyu Line's Kyodo Station, in a corner of the Setagaya upper-class residential area. When it comes to Japanese culture and traditions, people tend to think of difficult rules and manners that must be strictly adhered to. But our shop breaks down such thick barriers, providing simple yet authentic experience courses. Traditional activities are presented in a way for everyone to enjoy, including 5-minute kokedama (decorative moss balls), shohin bonsai (extra-small miniature potted trees), Japanese perfume with your favorite aroma, tea table ceremony, and flower arrangement without using fresh flowers. You can also experience creating a maneki-neko (beckoning cat statue) with kutani-yaki porcelain, similar to those found at nearby Gotoku-ji temple (15-minute walk) famous for maneki-neko. Getting to know our plants through the five senses allows you to feel the heart of Japan.
