Popped in for a little something to take home with my partner, had a good browze and the guy gave us some good advice (partners new to whisky) we bought 3 bottles and just before we left, the guy gave my partner a free sample bottle to introduce him to the world of whisky. Brilliant service! (Oh and the free sample was delicious, thankyou!)

This was recommended to us by a guide. The welcome we got in the shop was fantastic. Fiona offered us some traditional fudge and asked us about our day. I could have spent all day chatting to her. The shop had a range of souvenirs at great prices and was full of quality high end items, which is hard to find in some of the souvenir shops. I was thrilled to find dark chocolate Tunnock tea cakes! Made my holiday. Thank you for adding to our trip.

Skye Weavers are a small weaving and sewing business based on the Hebridean Isle of Skye. On their bicycle pedal-powered loom they weave a variety of woollen products including scarves, blankets, throws and wraps. They also make tweed, which they sell as lengths and make up into garments, cushion covers, bags and accessories. Check the opening hours on the website, if you would like to watch the weavers at work and have a browse through the shop.

This is the place to find interesting gifts and artwork. It is set apart from the 'touristy' shops on the Royal Mile and I am so glad I found it. Eve was very helpful - she answered all my questions and offered some useful hints with framing the piece I purchased.

Our Happy Tour tour group stopped here for a mid-morning break. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food and coffee outstanding. I’d love to have the recipe for the gingerbread. It was outstanding. I highly recommend taking a break here. The service was friendly and fast.
