More and more artists are showing their work at art shows, fairs, etc. instead of galleries; and the SFSA is special in this way - with their special group of very talented artists, including many mediums: painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, etc. A great place to spend a weekend afternoon.

We loved some local specialties - don't miss Old Pecos mustards, Vivac wines. Edible flowers bouquets. Mulberries. Goat cheese in a jar.

I enjoy cooking the spicy cuisine of Mexico and the like. This market had everything that I can not get in Tennessee. I have missed since we moved from the Dallas area. Hatch Chiles, Hatch Chiles...! Best garlic, too. Chile powders that are divine...Negro, Chipotle, Mild (not so mild) make your dish have so much more dimension and flavor. Found some bundled sage (you burn it to ward off evil, right)??? - was told you can use as air freshener - ha! While I shopped live music and the smells of Hatch Chile and Santa Fe cuisine filled the air. This market is very busy and parking, although plentiful, is not plentiful enough so come early. There is a parking garage that is a little further off where you will for sure find a space it is just a further walk (but not bad). You can also find some wares like woven baskets and some artisans selling there art/jewelry. Lots of people choose to have breakfast here, like a blue corn donut. No dogs are allowed in the market - FYI - even though Santa Fe is very dog friendly.

One of Santa Fe’s Flea Markets. Thanks for visiting. Lots of things. North of town. Come see us. Free parking. Free admission.
From our rental on Kearny, it only took us about 17 minutes to get there, straight up US285. Large # of jewelry vendors, but also paintings, rugs, yard art, photography, knick knacks and much more. Found several good deals on jewelry that turned out to be much better prices than what we later found in town. One dealer had zuni and navajo made jewelry with the initials of the maker stamped inside and their full name on the sales tag - thought this was cool. Met one interesting lady who, although she had a few other pieces, specialized in making 'tree of life' jewelry by wrapping sterling silver - she felt these trees were her special calling. They were quite pretty and my mom couldn't resist a pendant, which she has already worn several times! We enjoyed talking with several of the vendors and looking at the various items they had made.
This is Santa Fe's Original and Oldest Famous Flea Market. During the height of our selling season, we have 120 permanent and daily vendors.
