Test Pilot

Test Pilot is a contemporary carribbean and tiki-inspired craft cocktail bar located in downtown Santa Barbara’s thriving Funk Zone district. We are driven by local market fresh produce, re-imagined tiki classics (embracing a more dry and bitter profile) and fun atmosphere. Our cocktail program is driven by the template of exotic cocktails, but modernized for today’s more balanced palate. We reduce sugar content, add three dimensionality, and oftentimes rely on bitter elements for balance. We strive for approachability and accessability. With a robust rum selection of around 100 rums, check out one of our rum tasting flights. The bar's design has a nautical approach, being a few blocks from the ocean and aesthetic that feels Santa Barbara-n. We don't serve food. There are several fantastic restaurants in the area where we recommend picking up to go food and enjoying at our bar or patio section.

Always love this bar when in town. Tiki drinks galore and done so well. The slushee cocktails were spot on. Just the right consistency and alcohol ratio. I loved the pina colada too. The decor is great, the service is always top notch and they are totally practicing all the best safety measures during the pandemic, as all staff are in masks and they made sure not to over seat. Highly recommend this bar (and their sister bars Shaker Mill & The Good Lion also in town)

Loved finding Corks n Crown . The perfect place to find amazing wines and brews in the one and only Funk Zone Santa Barbara. Loved sitting outside enjoying the warm California sun. I found a few favorite pinot noir from Dragonette Cellars. Plus a few more picks. I loved the 2016 Pinot Noir. Love my new #abouttowdeb pick!

SOhO Restaurant & Music Club

Reviewed By Walkerroundtheworld - Stuttgart, Germany

We were lucky to find out that Hana Aluna, daughter of rock star Kenny Loggins and an aspiring singer-songwriter, was performing at the Club. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, we enjoyed a lovely meal with the music, good wine, and had a really good evening. The music was great, too!! A very laid-back place and just what you expect the California music scene to be like. If you like music, go and check it out! Eating isn't a must.
