We thoroughly recommend this 3-hour wine tour which also includes a visit and tasting at a goats cheese farm. Laure is very friendly and knowledgeable about the production techniques of both, explaining it all in great detail. She speaks excellent English. We really enjoyed our afternoon with her.

We enjoyed a private tour of a small family winery on a very hot day. Thankful that we chose to wine taste among the vines in the shade with Adélaïde who gave a delightful presentation on the geology of the area affecting the taste of the wine. It was a lovely beginning to our vacation.

Chateau de Sancerre is one of the rare castles bearing the name of an appellation. Its vineyard includes 55 hectares of vines located in four exceptional terroirs – flint stone, white earth and limestone-based griottes and caillottes – which produce Sauvignon Blanc wines boasting unique mineral notes. Let yourself be charmed by a tasting of great Sancerre wines at the top of the Fiefdom Tower, offering a 360° panorama of the rolling landscapes of the appellation’s vineyard. > Visit From May to August: Tuesday to Saturday: 11:30 am and 6 pm Other days: upon reservation only (min. 6 adults) In low season: upon reservation only (min. 6 adults)

Henri Bourgeois provides several options for trying their wines. We splurged on a private tour, and it did not disappoint. Our guide was charming, and extremely knowledgeable. His English was very good and he worked hard to explain everything to us as clearly as possible. Excellent wines, and a great example of the variety in Sancerre production. I booked the tour before we left the US. Super easy on their website. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity. Can’t wait to find their wines when we return to the states.
