This basilica Sagrado Corazon de Jesus is an old church with gothic style located at the heart of San Salvador, and besiode the Central Market where you may find all and great variety of fresh products such as vegetables, candies, fruits, chickens, ducks birds, iguanas, flowers,You name it!. it is also located in front of Los Ilustres Cemetery.

This was part of a day long tour that we were part of. Our tour guide explained so much about the Monument, it was very sobering to understand what happened so recently in this country.
