Visited last month with my family. El Árbol de Dios is an institute, gallery and gift shop. We had the pleasure of speaking with the artist and watching them work during our visit. The gallery displays the most beautiful work and many pieces are very affordable, too. We left very impressed and happy with the entire experience.

We visit El Salvador annually and always take our groups to this mercado for souvenirs and gifts. It's small enough to navigate easily, and the vendors are friendly if a little aggressive in trying to get you into see their merchandise. You can barter for better prices or a discount on multiple items. It's fun. Most of the vendors accept cash only and no bills larger than $20, so be aware of that before you go. A must see if you want to shop outside a more formal mall or at the airport.

Nahanche was created in 1979 and became the first handicraft store in El Salvador. We pride ourselves in selling the best handicraft work, based on the attention to detail that our providers have. You can find a pleasant small store with A/C, great customer service, clean and great prices. For larger groups, assistance in english can be provided, previous request by email.
