A stronghold of Mayan culture, San Cristóbal’s colonial stucco walls and Spanish tile roofs contrast with the surrounding villages, which remain home to an array of Mayan-descendant Indians. The city itself is a delight. Paired with the cultural diversity surrounding it, there’s nothing like it in Mexico.

Bouldering gym, we sell climbing shoes, chalk, chalk bags, and also we offer climbing tours every day to local crags
We hired a guide through La Roca to show us the climbing spots in the area. David was an awesome guide who was super stoked to be out there climbing, helped push me right to my limit, gave great beta, and was always ready to offer a nice snack. Reasonably priced service and the Arcotete where we climbing was a very unique spot, with some cool overhung routes and some top outs on unique features like stalagmites and stalagtites. The we also got an introduction to the entire climbing community of San Cristobal out there and saw some great climbers putting up impressive routes.

My travels and work experience have led me to live in San Cristobal with the intention of creating products and services that motivate local production and businesses to raise our Mexican heritage. I manage my own line of leather bags and I also work with local talent that manufactures chocolate, textiles, liquor, beer, etc.
